LumenRead

LumenRead measures your reading speed in words per minute using a passage you choose or text you paste. When you finish, AI writes three questions from that exact text so the result reflects understanding as well as speed.

You pick a reviewed passage from the library, paste your own text or upload a TXT or Markdown file, then read in word or sentence mode at a pace you set. Only visible, active reading time is counted, and switching tabs pauses the clock.

The site says the original text is not stored on its servers and that no account is needed. If the AI questions fail to load, speed and completion results are still shown. Versions for testing Chinese and Japanese reading speed are also linked.
