Lacuna generates songs and instrumentals from prompts and pairs that with a large set of music utilities: stem separation, audio-to-MIDI transcription, sheet music conversion and lyric writing. It suits hobby musicians, producers and students who want generation and editing in one place.

Creative tools include hum-to-song, which turns a hummed melody into a full track, an AI song extender that adds a new section to an uploaded song, and an AI MIDI and melody generator. Separate extractors pull out bass, piano or vocals, or remove drums for practice tracks, and tracks can be turned into shareable visuals.

The notation side converts piano, guitar, vocal or general audio into MIDI, scans sheet music photos and PDFs into MusicXML or MIDI, simplifies scores and generates sight-reading exercises. The site runs in nine languages. Free accounts get 120 credits a month, and paid plans add commercial use.
