What is InstaScript?
InstaScript turns a public Instagram Reel link or an uploaded video or audio file into timestamped English text. Speech recognition runs in your browser, so local files are never uploaded, and no account is needed.
It accepts MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG files up to 100MB. Reel links are fetched through a server proxy, and the first run downloads language-detection and transcription models that are then cached for faster later runs.
Transcripts can be copied or exported as TXT, Markdown, SRT or VTT subtitles, with optional timestamps. Separate pages cover general video-to-text and YouTube transcripts.
