IBM Watson Discovery

IBM Watson Discovery pulls information out of large collections of business documents using NLP, OCR and IBM foundation models. Companies use it to search contracts, reports and other unstructured files and to feed extracted data into automated processes.

Smart Document Understanding lets you label a few pages so the system learns where headers, tables and other parts sit in your documents. Built-in enrichments extract entities, keywords and concepts and score sentiment and emotion, and you can train custom entity models with active learning.

Faceted search goes beyond keyword matching, and results can be sent as JSON to downstream automation. An OCR engine handles poor scans and mobile captures. It runs on IBM Cloud, and IBM points users toward watsonx Orchestrate for building agents on top.
