What is FoldSum?
FoldSum is a free browser extension that summarizes text you select on a web page and can replace it inline with the summary. It sends the text to the ChatGPT or Poe page you are already logged into rather than using a paid API key.
You install the extension, keep a logged-in ChatGPT or Poe tab open, then select text elsewhere and click Summarize. Summaries can be nested, and the result can be translated into other languages in the same step.
It runs on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers such as Brave and Arc. A floating button appears on selections and can be switched off in the settings.
