CustomPod
Freemium · $4.99/moMobile app that turns your chosen news and feeds into daily audio briefings
What is CustomPod?
CustomPod builds personal podcast-style briefings by summarizing content from the sources and topics you pick, such as news sites and Reddit pages. It is for people who want to catch up on their interests while commuting or getting ready in the morning.
You group sources into briefing sections, and the app summarizes the key points into an episode read aloud. Briefings can be listened to in the CustomPod app or added to your usual podcast app, and you can set the length, topics and delivery time. A recent update lets you add your own articles to a briefing.
The free plan allows unlimited episodes and all supported sources but you start each one yourself. Pro adds automatic generation on a schedule, premium voices and notifications. The app is on iOS and Android.
