Azure Language
FreemiumMicrosoft cloud API for sentiment, entities, PII and text summaries
What is Azure Language?
Azure Language, previously Azure AI Language and Text Analytics, is a Microsoft cloud service that analyzes text through an API. Developers use it for sentiment analysis, entity and PII detection, summarization and custom intent models inside their own apps.
Prebuilt features cover language detection, key phrase extraction, named entity recognition, personal data redaction, text summarization and a health variant that pulls medical terms from clinical notes. Custom features let you train your own classifiers, entity extractors and conversational intent models on labeled examples.
It now sits under Foundry Tools, so it can be called from Microsoft Foundry projects as well as through REST APIs and SDKs for languages such as Python, C# and Java. Billing follows Azure's pay-as-you-go model by the amount of text processed, with a limited free tier.
