Archistar AI PreCheck

AI PreCheck, formerly eCheck, automates much of the building code and zoning review that city permit offices do by hand. Local governments use it to process plans faster, and designers can run the same checks before they submit.

Applicants upload their plans and the software compares them with the rules that apply to the site, producing a compliance report reviewers can work from. It can handle complex, layered review sets, which matters for large counties with many overlapping requirements.

Archistar says more than 30 cities and local governments use it, including the County of Los Angeles and the City of Austin, whose reviewers report roughly halving review times. Training is offered through Archistar Academy, and access is arranged through a demo.
